windows broken in broadway businesses

windows were broken at two businesses on broadway boulevard late monday or early tuesday and a burglary occurred at one of the businesses.

a black apple iphone and about $30 in coins were stolen from china nest, 540 s. broadway, between 11 p.m. monday and 9 a.m. tuesday, according to a salina police report. a 5-by-6-foot plate-glass window was broken by two large chunks of concrete to gain access to the building.

loss and damage was estimated at $780.

at cam’s barbershop, 101 n. broadway, an officer on patrol noticed a large hole in the plate-glass window. a padlock on a door had been pried on, but entry had not been made to the business.

the damage, estimated at $810, occurred between 4 p.m. monday and 7 a.m. tuesday, according to a police report.
