st. john’s military will compete in 4a

by the salina journal

only one saline county school made a move when classifications for the 2010-11 school year were announced monday by the kansas state high school activities association.

st. john’s military will compete at the class 4a level in postseason competition for the current year in all sports except football. football classifications are released every two years and were announced last october for the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

classifications for all other sports are based on a school’s enrollment in the 10th, 11th and 12th grades. st. john’s military’s enrollment number in those three grades was 138, but because the enrollment is limited to boys only, the muleskinners numbers are doubled when determining classifications.
