a woman who had been in charge of employee credit cards for a salina business was sentenced friday to three years of probation and ordered to pay more than $11,600 in restitution for personal items she bought with company credit cards.

sheila s. crough, a former employee of kasa industries, 418 e. avenue b, pleaded guilty in april to a felony count of computer crime and four felony counts of criminal use of a financial card.

in saline county district court friday, she told judge rene young she was sorry and wants to get her life back on track.

young said a prison sentence of 16 months, which was suspended, would give crough “a lot of incentive to get the restitution paid back.”
